Accounting story: I recently had to write a paper about the 2008 recession and the greediness of the bankers involved in scamming people out of their money. I find them to resemble pigs–always greedy for more and won’t hesitate to roll in the mud.

AI is already impacting accounting. For example, a tax return can be prepared by entering some data and pressing a single button. In the future, previously tedious tasks will continue to get easier and technology will continue to act as an assistant to accountants who will do more consulting and high-level thinking.

2. AI can be useful for accounting in ways that it can be used as a tool rather than taking over the entire industry. Client confidentiality is a key component of accounting and if AI were to take over, clients would not want to trust a robot taking care of their financial information. Although it can be useful for making tasks more efficient and effective, it can not take over everything.
